Performance Requirements on the Batteries of Solar Road Studs

The solar panel should match with the energy storage components, and the rated capacity of the energy storage component should meet the demand of 72 hours’ illumination of the solar road stud if set under the standard testing condition for 8 hours. Or when the intensity of solar illumination is under 1000lx, the capacity of energy storage component can meet the needs of 12 hours’ illumination for the raised pavement markers after 8 hours charge.

Durability of the solar panel and energy storage component
The service time of the solar panel should be over 40000 hours, and under the condition of floating-charge, the cycle service time of the energy storage component should finish over 2000 charge-discharge circles.

Notes:
1. The working time of the solar panel is regarded as 4000 hours per year, and the 400 times charge-discharge circles are calculated for the energy storage component.
2. One cycle service time refers to that when the depth of discharge reaches 50% of the rated capacity and charge to the rated capacity by the current of 0.2C.
